Last weekend singer (& songwriter/guitarist)
HEIKE RUDOLPH succeeded at a vocal contest in Cologne and won the runner up at a talent show!
This cult-event takes place since decades and depending on the weather (and the weather was great!) up to 6000 guests wander to the show at the Tanzbrunnen/Rhein trying to pull down the young talents or celebrate them. Way back people would even throw eggs and tomatos! Hence the audience controls the boos: Chorus like „stop it“ or turning
away from the stage, showing pigheaded ignorance or even strike up own songs is what the 'fans' might do!
Only two singers were spared: the first winner,
an unbeatable JoeCocker-Double (or was it
Joe himself?)
and clearly the 2nd winner Heike Rudolph!
The contestants and their performing songs were chosen at a special casting, weeks before the grandious show. A luxurious professional live band plays these songs nearly original. On every show each singer/group (of eight participants) performs two songs, the three best ones will be voted by the audience.

So you better choose the songs after
1) which one may bring about the best party atmosphere
2) how your voice fits to the song and
only at 3) you like the song (good advice).
So Alright now (Free) and Perfect (Fairground attraction) appeared to be
cheerful prospering (cover)hits for HRike! Also, this event has developed into a great show and crazy fun with other popular entertainers. |

What´s the prize? Well on this day lots of popcorn, a microphone, much appreciation, especially fun, good mood, great audience, glamour and getting insights and taking some steps into the big showbiz, since every artist on and backstage will be treated and supported just like a star. Who would not want to get use to that.. |
